The Großglockner High Alpine Road is the perfect route to get deep into the center of the national park from the beginning of May to November. On a length of 48 kilometers and over 36 hairpin bends, you can climb past the Grossglockner, Austria’s highest mountain at 3798 meters, to altitudes of more than 2500 meters (Edelweisspitze 2575 meters).
