But even in the summer months, you can leave your everyday life behind you and fill your lungs with oxygen right down to the last bubble during extensive cycling or hiking tours. A large number of visitor mines bring the mining tradition of the Sauerland back to life. Various natural caves offer fascinating excursions into the outer shell of our Mother Earth. One of the largest and most beautiful cave systems in Germany attracts about 150,000 visitors annually with the Atta Cave. At 1,800 meters of the 6,670 meters long cave, underworld lovers can enjoy stalactites and stalagmites in different sizes and colors.
