Tips and suggestions for your stay in the region can be found here:
Lake Geneva or Le Leman is the second largest lake in Central Europe at 71.8km long, 13.7km wide and up to 310m deep. Nearly 20,000 boats from pedal boats to luxury yachts are used on the lake for fishing, transportation or simply for pleasure. From the Lake Geneva basin to the confluence of the Rhône and Rhône rivers, the peaceful shores offer a breathtaking view of the snow-capped peaks of the Alpine Arc. Fishing, swimming, sailing or windsurfing are just a few of the water sports challenges. For example, once a year the Bol d ´Or, the largest freshwater regatta in Europe takes place on the lake. The largest cities, Geneva, Lausanne and Montreux, are each worth a trip in their rights. Excellent wines are also produced on the shores and slopes of this blue lake. To be enchanted by these things, together with an excellent cheese from the region in the middle of the vineyard, comes quite close to paradise for many connoisseurs.
